Today was a nice sunny hot working Tuesday at Waipara with a few of the guys working on 1733 in the car shop getting it nearer to completion.
The boiler was washed out on A428 to get rid of the scale and impurities the boiler treatment leaves at the bottom of the boiler. The boiler will be stored dry until ground conditions are more acceptable to run steam - this helps look after the boiler when not in use.
Dg791 had its Automatic and Independent brake valves serviced in preparation for its annual mechanical and air brake inspection.
